Sports in its true sense helps one to fight against all sorts of odds in life. To inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship, the school holds intramural tournaments and sports meets and celebrates the day with a solemn function.
The emphasis is on the spirit of participation rather than simply competing for medals. Sports Day provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, determination, teamwork and sporting abilities.
The National Scouts aims at the development of the overall personality of students and inculcates in them qualities of courage, leadership, discipline and selfless service through value-oriented training.
It also provides a suitable environment to motivate students to take up careers in defence services and encourages them to become responsible and disciplined members of society.
The school is a member of the Road Safety Patrol, a wing of the Tamilnadu Police Traffic Warden’s Organization. Around 25 students participate every year under this programme to develop a sense of road traffic awareness.
Students take active participation in Road Safety Patrol programmes in the city and learn the importance of road safety, discipline and responsible behaviour in public places.
